What is it?

Attachment is mental bondage. It is the cause of all the stress and separation in the world. And it is destroying humanity.

Imagine tying your hands and feet to the furniture around you. When you get up to move, you’re weighed down. Bound. This is what attachment does at the mental level. You don’t see it.

But you can see it in a person’s face – someone that looks like the weight of the world is on their shoulders. As opposed to someone who looks light, free. Light-hearted, cheerful. This is how life is meant to be enjoyed!

It’s nothing to do with having or not having, it’s nothing to do with physical proximity – but just how you relate to the objects and beings in your life mentally. Learn this art, live in peace and harmony.
